The service available through this website is provided by Westpac New Zealand Limited ("Westpac") for the Ministry of Social Development and enables you to make a payment to Work and Income.
A convenience fee of 1.95% per transaction is applied by Westpac. You will not be required to pay this fee, as it will be paid by Work and Income.
Therefore, the whole amount you nominate to pay is credited against your debt balance with Work and Income, subject to your liability to pay other fees as discussed below.
Additional fees or charges may apply to this credit/debit card transaction in accordance with your card issuer's terms and conditions. You should check with your card issuer for details of other fees payable before making payment.
If payment is made using a credit/debit card issued outside New Zealand, any currency conversion will be done according to the terms and conditions of the card and there may be currency conversion fees charged by your card issuer.
The Ministry of Social Development will receive only the transaction data, which enables payment to be made towards your Work and Income debt and will not receive any of your credit/debit card information.
If your payment is not successfully processed due to credit/debit card or other issues, your debt to Work and Income will remain outstanding and you may be subject to penalties, interest and other charges.
Any refund will be by way of a direct credit to the card number used for the original transaction.
You must check all information is correct before you confirm the transaction; you will be unable to change it once it has been submitted.
All personal information you enter into this website is collected by Westpac to enable your payment to be transferred to the Ministry of Social Development for payment towards your Work and Income debt.
Should you decide not to provide all the personal information requested from you, your payment may not be processed and your debt to Work and Income may remain outstanding.
Your personal information will be held securely by Westpac as a record of the transaction and may be used by Westpac for statistical purposes.
The Ministry of Social Development will receive only the transaction data, which enables payment to be made towards your Work and Income debt and will not receive any of your credit/debit card information. This transactional data may be used by the Ministry of Social Development for statistical and research purposes.
Westpac and the Ministry of Social Development will take steps to ensure your personal information is held securely. You may, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993, request access to, and correction of all personal information held by Westpac or the Ministry of Social Development by contacting the relevant agency's Privacy Officer.
